ABA reauthorization tracking that starts early
A reauthorization board that shows what is upcoming, due, in progress, submitted and decided, so no client lapses between authorizations.
In short
ABA reauthorization tracking watches every active authorization end date and starts the next one early. In NeuroOps, built by TWO44, a reauthorization is flagged upcoming 61 to 120 days before the end date and due at 60 days or less, then moves through plan of care in progress, ready to submit, submitted and decided, and shows how many days an authorization has lapsed.

The problem
What breaks in these practices
Without
- Reauthorizations started after the old one has expired.
- No owner for the reauthorization plan of care.
- Prior units authorized and delivered re-typed by hand.
- Lapses discovered through a denied claim.
With TWO44
- Reauthorization board. Six stages derived from dates and statuses.
- One-click start. Creates the next draft header the day after the end date.
- Prior use pre-filled. Authorized and delivered units carried per CPT code.
- Lapse visibility. Shows days lapsed when no approved successor exists.
- Reauth plan of care. Template matched to the insurance and authorization type.

Work in healthcare
Real practices, real systems. Each case study covers the problem, what we built and the result.
Security
HIPAA-conscious by design
We build with the HIPAA Security Rule in mind. Compliance depends on how your practice operates the system, so we do not claim blanket "HIPAA compliant" status. Here is what we put in place.
Business Associate Agreements
We sign BAAs where we handle PHI for a client, and use hosting and vendors that will sign theirs.
Access controls
Role-based access so staff only see the clients and locations they work with.
Audit logs
Who viewed or changed a record, and when, so you can answer an auditor.

FAQ
Common questions
How early should ABA reauthorization start?
NeuroOps flags it as due at 60 days before the end date, and as upcoming from 120 days. Your payers may differ, and the lead time is a setting.
Who can start a reauthorization?
Admin-level roles can create and edit authorizations. A BCBA can start a reauthorization and draft from an approved plan of care for assigned clients.
What if no template matches the payer?
The next header is still created, and the app points to where to add the missing coverage template.
