ABA scheduling software that respects authorizations
A team and client calendar where every billable session links to a payer authorization line, with conflict checks, availability and recurring series.
In short
ABA scheduling software should connect each session to a payer authorization. In NeuroOps, built by TWO44, events consume authorization units (1 unit = 15 minutes), the calendar blocks double-booking of staff and clients, warns when a week passes its authorized cap, and keeps recurring sessions at the same local time across daylight saving changes.

The problem
What breaks in these practices
Without
- Schedules built in one tool while hours are tracked in another.
- Double-booked therapists and clients found on the day.
- Weeks that overshoot the authorized cap and never get billed.
- Cancellations that nobody rebooks.
With TWO44
- Authorization-linked events. Completed, scheduled and remaining units computed from events.
- Conflict and rule checks. Blocks staff and client overlap and telehealth where a code disallows it.
- Recurring series. Series materialized weeks ahead, edit this, following or all.
- Availability and leave. Client and staff availability; approved leave blocks booking.
- Action items. Cancellations to rebook, unassigned sessions, authorization issues.

Work in healthcare
Real practices, real systems. Each case study covers the problem, what we built and the result.
Security
HIPAA-conscious by design
We build with the HIPAA Security Rule in mind. Compliance depends on how your practice operates the system, so we do not claim blanket "HIPAA compliant" status. Here is what we put in place.
Business Associate Agreements
We sign BAAs where we handle PHI for a client, and use hosting and vendors that will sign theirs.
Access controls
Role-based access so staff only see the clients and locations they work with.
Audit logs
Who viewed or changed a record, and when, so you can answer an auditor.

FAQ
Common questions
Why link the schedule to authorizations?
Because units are what the payer approved. When scheduled and completed units are computed from the calendar, you see overbooked and underbooked weeks before they become unbilled hours.
Does it handle daylight saving time?
Times are stored as UTC with the time zone, and recurring events keep their local wall-clock time across DST.
Can a manager override a block?
Some blocks, such as completing a billable session without an authorization line, can be overridden by an admin with a written reason, which is recorded in history.
